K7SOM is a microATX mainboard that uses a 4-layer printed circuit board which measures 244mm x 244mm. The mainboard’s socket is of the 462-pin Socket A type for AMD Athlon/Duron K7 processors that support FSB speeds up to 200/266MHz. The K7S0M comes with the economical high-performance SiS 740 chipset that comes with onboard 3D sound (AC97 audio codec) and high quality 3D graphics accelerator, as well as an integrated USB 2.0 host controller in the Northbridge. The mainboard has two sockets for either DDR SDRAM (DDR266/200) or SDRAM (PC133/100), with a maximum capacity of 2GB for either memory type. There are 5 audio ports (line-in, line-out, mic-in, CD-in and a game port), 2 USB ports and an optional LAN connector. Two PCI IDE interfaces support 4 IDE devices (PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, ATA 66/100 and ATA133 for SiS961B and 962. There are 3 PCI slots and an AMR slot for expansion.
