November 6, 1995 -- Orchid Technology today
announced it has signed a letter of intent with 3Dfx Interactive,
a new contender in the design and manufacture of 3D graphics
accelerators.
ORCHID 兰花在1995年11月6日，3Dfx发布VOODOO芯片的同日，第一个
宣布使用3dfx的芯片生产VOODOO卡，并于1996年春发布的Righteous 3D是第一块VOODOO卡。另一大特点是使用机械继电器，而其他的VOODOO卡绝大多数使用电子继电器。
